Good to know
Yes — a Visitor visa (subclass 600), applied for online with supporting documents and biometrics at a VFS centre. Australian visas take longer to process than most, so apply as soon as the booking is confirmed; your channel partner supplies the itinerary, hotel list and confirmation letter the application asks for.
Very widely. Australian menus label vegetarian and vegan dishes as a matter of course, and Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane all have excellent Indian restaurants. Jain preparation is arranged at the hotels and group dinners when you tell us at booking.
The Australian dollar (AUD). Australia is close to cashless — cards and phone payments work almost everywhere, including buses, ferries and coffee carts — so a travel card loaded in AUD covers a whole trip comfortably.
